The term ‘Ordinary Time’ translates the Latin ‘Tempus per Annum,” the “time through the year.” In fact, there is nothing ordinary about it. A close look at the history of the liturgy and at today’s readings show that we are still living in the ‘afterglow’ of the Epiphany. The Gospels of the past three weeks: the visit of the Magi, the Baptism of Jesus, and the Wedding at Cana, form one single mystery, pointing us to the Cross and even as far as Pentecost.

Has the monastery suspended its homily podcast available via iTunes? If so are there alternative for downloading? I have so enjoyed the homilies and miss them greatly. Pax – dan
Dear Dan, we hope to have it back on iTunes soon. Our webmaster is waiting for us to have a certain number of podcasts edited in the new format.
Thank you! Fr. Peter
