Homily for the Twenty-Seventh Sunday in Ordinary Time

This morning’s gospel shed light on a serious contemporary issue: why have the legislators who crafted the HHS mandate made a distinction between religious places of worship and other religious organization like Catholic hospitals, schools, and charities? ¬†Might we be contributing to this problem by our own need to ‘increase our faith’?

Thank you for pointing out the dangers of HHS and the Affordable Health Care Act. I wish more religious would educacate our Catholic brothers and sisters. I whole heartedly agree our faith should not be left at the church doors when we leave.

We owe it to God because He gave us life. I look at my job as a vocation to serve God. I can make a difference, I hope.
