We welcome men and women interested in deepening their spiritual lives. In the ancient monastic tradition of hospitality, we invite you to join us in seeking God in prayer, silence, and solitude.
We offer you hospitality for a few hours, a day, a few days, or longer, in one of our guest houses. Ascension House – a comfortable 19th century building on the monastery grounds- offers 3 individual guest rooms, shared bath, kitchen and common rooms. It is located across the street from the main cloister, above one of our award winning B&B Guest Houses. There is a wonderful view of the Monastery church and garden from the balcony. Extra accommodations are provided upon request.
While in the shadow of busy, hurried downtown Chicago, we provide a quiet, prayerful, unhurried space for reflection and prayer. Guests are invited to join the monks in the refectory for the Midday Meal (lunch), after Sext at 12:45, and Collation (light evening meal), after Vespers at 5:15. Both mealtimes are taken in silence, with a public reading by one of the brothers. Breakfast is on your own.
We are able to receive guests between Tuesday morning through Sunday noon.
For more information, or to make a reservation, please contact Fr. Edward at (773) 927-7424 x 202, or by email at email@example.com.
