Featured composers are Bruckner and Byrd. The monks will offer traditional Gregorian chant.
Bruckner was a startlingly original composer, best known for his symphonies, which have become a staple in the orchestral repertoire. He is somewhat lesser known for his liturgical music, which displays the same complexity and originality. Os justi uses only the white notes of the piano to symbolize the purity of the Just One. In spite of this restriction, Bruckner achieves dramatic, soaring musical effects.
Hymn: O Lux, beata Trinitas—Byrd
