Thursday, February 2 – Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary (“Candlemas”). Candles will be blessed at our regular daily Mass, beginning at 6:35 a.m.
Friday, February 3 – St. Blase. Throats will be blessed at the end of daily Mass, which begins at 6:35 a.m.
Sunday, February 5, 11:30 a.m. – Catholic Readers Society. We will be discussing the novel Vespers in Vienna by Bruce Marshall. For more information on Catholic Readers Group, click here.
Saturday, February 11, 5:15 p.m. – Solemn Vespers with Schola Laudis, conducted by Kevin Allen. Latin chant and Renaissance polyphony. For more information, click here.
Sunday, February 12, 11:30 a.m. – Oblate meeting. We will meet in Oblate Hall after Mass. For more information, click here.
Monday-Tuesday, February 13-14 – Desert Days. There will be no public prayer after Mass on Sunday, February 12 until the office of Vigils on Wednesday, February 15 at 3:30 a.m. There will be no public celebration of Mass on Monday, February 13 or Tuesday, February 14.
Wednesday, February 22 – Ash Wednesday. Ashes will be distributed at our regular daily Mass, beginning at 6:35 a.m.
A film, made here at the monastery, explores the inspiration for the creation of the altarpiece icons that are at the heart of the renovation. It features interviews with Prosopon School founder and creator of the monastery’s icons, Vladislav Andrejev, and with some of the monks.
