Novena for Vocations

August 14—August 22, 2025

On August 14, the Vigil of the Assumption, the monks begin a special novena for vocations to the monastic life. It will continue until the Memorial of the Queenship of the Blessed Virgin Mary on August 22. We invite you to join us praying that, through Our Lady’s intercession, God may call new men to join our monastery and our sister monasteries, as well as the Archdiocesan priesthood.

Novena Prayer

Father, we are your children
and we call upon you with confidence and trust.

Send vocations to our monastery and to all the monasteries
affiliated with the Subiaco-Cassinese Congregation.

Send us men who are strong in faith, committed to the Lord Jesus Christ,
and loyal to the Church.

Strengthen us with the graces we need
so that we may reflect your goodness and love.

We implore you to send young men
to become priests of our Archdiocese.

Fill them with a desire to serve you in priestly ministry.
Keep them strong in faith, loyal to the teachings of the Church
and loving in their chaste celibacy.

Bless all those who now serve as priests in our Archdiocese
and help them grow as spiritual shepherds of your Church.

Father, we pray this in the name of Jesus Christ your Son
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
God for ever and ever. Amen.
