Get Involved
At a monastery, most “involvement” available to the faithful is involvement in prayer, because, unlike a parish, a monastery does not operate a full range of organizations for laity. Monastic life revolves around times of prayer and times of work. Everyone is welcome to join us in prayer! Our full liturgical schedule may be found here.
One exception is the monthly meeting we host of the Catholic Reader’s Society. These meetings are open to all, for discussion of Catholic fiction and other books that bear in some way on discipleship in the modern world. More information may be found here.
Individuals who are interested in spending more time in prayer may consider making a retreat by staying at our guest house. More information on retreats may be found here.
Laypersons drawn to the Benedictine way of life may become Oblates, to more formally associate themselves with the life of this monastery. More information about our Oblate program may be found here.
One may also wonder if God is calling him to religious life: how does one know? Visit our vocations page for more information.
